The University of Arkansas or "The University" as it is often called by Arkansans is located in scenic Fayetteville, Arkansas in the Ozark Mountains. "Old Main", built in 1875, dominates the campus skyline and is the original building at the university. A unique and notable tradition at the university is to inscribe each graduate's name in the side walks of the campus. Beginning with the very first class in 1876 until the present, every student who ever graduated has his or her name visible for all time. If you have never attended a game at Reynolds Razorback Stadium and heard the Hog Call, you haven't lived. Fans are proud of their university and the Hawgs athletic program. They let it be known throughout the campus on game days. Watching a game at Bud Walton Arena, home of the Razorbacks basketball team, is an experience you will never forget. The Fayetteville area also includes the towns of Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville and is often referred to as "the Northwest Corridor". The community is home to the corporate headquaters of Wal-Mart, Tyson Foods and J.B. Hunt Trucking. This area of the state is many times listed as one of the best places in America to live and raise a family. Even with all the corporate activities, "The University" is the dominate social attraction of the area. "Whooooo Pigs, Sooie, Go Hawgs"
