| | | Home | | Army Black KnightsThe United States Military Academy, often called West Point or Army was founded in 1802 in West Point, NY. "The Long Gray Line" has produced some of America's great leaders such as Grant, Lee, Pershing, MacArthur, Eisenhower, Patton, Schwarzkopt and Petraeus. More than 50,000 cadets have graduated from the academy. Two former cadets became U. S. Presidents; Grant and Eisenhower. Six former graduates or former faculty members are members of the 111th. Congress. Of all the institutions of higher education in the United States, West Point is perhaps more entwined with the history of the United States than any other. Graduates of West Point are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U. S. Army. Army is a member of the Patriot League in sports. Go Army!
